A former Victorian farmhouse, all ivy-covered gilded stone and cream-coloured windows, the property has been sympathetically extended with two courtyards with additional wings and beautiful water features. Inside, it should be like a cottage, but with a country flair. Dogs are welcome (£10 per night) and can join their owners while dining in the conservatory. The 32 rooms are all reasonable in size and some have four beds.
