The UK’s best dog-friendly beaches have been revealed, with new data from online reviews finding Britain’s favourites.
With the spring weather warming up and April being declared National Pet Month, it’s a great time to get outside with your four-legged friend.
Dorset’s Turtle Door Beach scores 8.85 out of 10. Based on 4,298 reviews, it’s a “dog-friendly beach for dogs and their owners,” according to West Coast.

Another Dorset beach, Man O’War Beach, came together with a score of 8.3. Also known as Turtle’s East Door, it’s a shingle beach with calm water protected from the waves – meaning your board can splash around.

In fourth place with 8.2 out of 10 was Marlow’s Sands in Pembrokeshire. The view of the golden beach with its dramatic rocky backdrop is “a great photo opportunity with your baby,” the statement said.
