Dog Friendly Vacations Alabama – Our dog-friendly Alabama Gulf Coast beach house is just what you’ve been waiting for on your next vacation!
Vacation is what I dream about every morning when I go to work. You are one of two types of people: you either want to plan a vacation, or you want to go on vacation and not worry about planning. Let us stop by and help you save time searching for accommodation. Check out Harris Property Management in Alabama Gulf Coast. They rent beach houses right on the beach. This means you don’t even need to pack a cooler since it’s about 50 feet from the cooler to shore! Some of the #VGBsquad members were given the opportunity to stay at the Harris property on the Gulf Coast this past weekend and we are loving our beach house!
Dog Friendly Vacations Alabama
We were looking for a dog friendly beach house and we were lucky to find Harris Properties! They even have a whole section for dogs! We stayed
Dog Friendly Alabama
We were delighted with its location. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Every morning I would go out and watch the sunrise and every evening I would watch the sunset from the square balcony listening to the ocean waves roll in.
The best part for us was that we weren’t surrounded by condos and hotels so it felt like we were on our own private beach. Restaurants, tourist attractions and grocery stores are nearby and easily accessible. It’s a home away from home… or should I say a home away from home! Who doesn’t want their own beach house?!
Somewhere Time 1 is perfect for us! There were 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and an extra room with bunk beds so we could sleep 12! Everything was decorated and we felt right at the beach! The bedrooms were a good size and each floor had its own bathroom with ample counter space. Loved the open floor plan and high ceilings in the living room and eat-in kitchen. The kitchen was perfect and had everything you need to cook. I also liked that there was a laundry room so I could wash my sandy and salty clothes before returning home. Bonuses include free Wi-Fi, cable TV and air conditioning.
Checking in and out is very easy. There is a box outside and you only need to enter the code to access the keys. No reception desk, no office, you have to go home first. It was very easy. But remember that unlike a hotel, any rental accommodation is maintenance free and you will need to provide your own toilet paper etc. Although towels are provided, toilet paper and paper towels are sufficient for the first day. I like the homey aspect of a rental as opposed to a hotel. Especially if you’re staying for more than a day or two. By cooking your own food, you save a lot of money and you don’t have to eat out every day. However, you will love it here.

First of all, the administration was very welcoming and friendly. Remember, there are many properties to choose from, so you can find something that suits you! We look forward to staying at their property again in the near future. The next time you are looking to go to the beach, I strongly recommend that you go directly to Harris Properties Management instead of looking for a random place or hotel to stay.
Thanks to Harris Properties for hosting the #vgbsquad and #vgbdogs this weekend! All opinions are our own.
You can usually find me curled up with a book, cuddling my dog Bailey. My family, mountain and water views, animals, Audi laughter, movies and cool weather are the little things in life that make me happy. My name is Laurie, but most people call me Lo or Lolo. Adi added me to the VGB group to share my reading recommendations with you and grow your reading list! #vgbbookclub I am currently living in Huntsville, Alabama and look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone soon.
Adi is a charismatic individual with a deep love for travel and family. When her passport is out of circulation, she can be found at home with her husband and two-year-old son in Atlanta. Beautiful Lookout Mountain in beautiful northeast Alabama is home to numerous waterfalls, wildflowers, and a south peak. Appalachia. DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon are two great parks just minutes away from each other! I highly recommend visiting both locations and driving through the 15-mile scenic park. The park has more than 30 miles of pet-friendly trails.

DeSoto Park’s main attraction is the 104-foot DeSoto Falls. It is truly a spectacle! Take the scenic drive for about 12 miles and you’ll come across Little River Canyon National Preserve. Little River Canyon is federally owned and managed over 15,000 acres. Pet-friendly trails range from scenic boardwalks to backcountry hikes. You can cool off with your dog in a natural swimming hole called the Hippie Hole.
The best part about Little River Canyon is that your pup can become a National Park Ranger! You can pick up a BARK Ranger Checklist at the Visitor Center and your dog will receive their very own BARK Ranger Tag upon completion. These are collectible tags available in national parks and nature reserves where pets are allowed. More information about the BARK Rangers program can be found on the BARK Rangers website.
Bankhead National Forest is located in northwest Alabama near the small town of Double Springs. Bankhead is a popular destination for hiking, hunting, kayaking, swimming and horseback riding. The Chibsey River flows through Bankhead Forest, offering a variety of wildlife, waterfalls, streams and limestone cliffs. You can travel with your furry friend on marked and unmarked paths in the forest, just be careful, it’s easy to get lost! The Borden Creek Trail is one of our favorite trails.
The Bankhead Wilderness is a place where you should always be prepared with extra food, water and proper gear. Cell service is limited, so download a route map in advance and keep in mind that you plan to pass through a certain area of the forest.
