Tenby North Beach and Castle Beach both have a dog ban from 1 May to 30 September. Tenby South Beach is a great place to walk your dog on the sand. There are some restrictions on the left side of the South Beach parking lot, but the rest of the beach is free for your dog to walk and play.
Jackson’s Bay is a dog-friendly beach on Barry Island, however, please note that Whitmore Bay has a dog ban from May 1 to September 30 each year.
Dog Friendly Beaches In North Wales
There are only seven beaches with a dog ban in Angelsey. These are; Beaumaris, Benlech, Symmes Bay, Llanddona, Llandwyn (Newborough), Porth Dafurch and Tredder Bay. These restrictions will apply from May 1 to September 30 each year. See Anglesey Council for more details and maps.
During the summer months, there are some beaches with complete or partial restrictions on allowing dogs. These include Amroth, Broadhaven, Coppet Hall, Dale Lidstep, Newgale, Poppit, Saundersfoot, Tenby Castle, Tenby North and Tenby South.
