All four of our dog cabins offer a spacious environment with a queen plus a fold-out futon in the living room. Everything can fit up to 3 adults or 2 adults / 2 children. These popular accommodations fill up quickly, so book as soon as possible, especially for the summer months. Commanche, Winnebago and Zonta cabins offer large whirlpool tubs in bathrooms for added luxury. Our mother-in-law’s house is the most expensive dog house because it has the traditional tub/shower combo. We allow these accommodations to be booked by our guests with dogs, unless other accommodations are available that can accommodate your group.

Each dog is an additional $25 per night plus booking tax. You must add the number of pets when purchasing online. Sorry, we only allow dogs on our properties near Starved Rock. There is a maximum of two dogs in the house and overnight dogs will be charged.

We have 17 homes on the Kishauwau Estate and unfortunately not all of them are dog friendly. Many people are afraid of dogs or have severe allergies. If we have to spend extra time cleaning your home because of your dogs, your card will be charged.

Don’t forget to visit the state parks with your dog. They welcome your dog on their miles of trails as long as you keep it on a leash. So check out Starved Rock State Park or Matthiessen State Park. Some trails may not be dog friendly, so be aware of this before coming. If you’re looking for a little extra comfort, choose our Zonta Cabin, Commanche Cabin or Winnebago, all with hot tubs. If you’re on a budget, consider a couple’s home with a traditional tub/shower combo. All cabins have comfortable beds, comfortable linens, wood stoves and fully equipped kitchens. All houses are very popular, especially for the summer months, so book as early as possible.

You don’t have to leave Fido at dinner time. Dine with your dog at Skoogs Pub & Grill in Utica, where they have a dog-friendly menu. That way, your dog won’t look at you and feel guilty the whole time you’re eating your food.

If your dog wants companionship, there are plenty of dog parks in the area to choose from. Take him to River Run Dog Park in Ottawa, Rotary Dog Park in LaSalle or Wigley Field in Peru.
