Browndown Beach Point is a sand and shingle beach owned by the Ministry of Defence. It is located near Gosport, outside Portsmouth. In clear weather you can see Vecta Island directly. The beach backs onto the Alver Valley Country Park (see below).

Dogs are welcome in the Alver Valley, with winding roads, a mix of scenery and fantastic views of the sun, there is something for every dog (and their owner). Itchen Valley Country Park is set in 440 acres of beautiful water meadows, woodlands and meadows along the River Itchen and has been awarded a Green Flag status.
