Hostels are spacious Escape the stress of life and relax with the dogs The staff are very friendly and helpful and what else do you need but to walk the dogs in the middle of the forest? We go every year
Many places claim to be dog friendly, but they don’t let you leave their accommodation unattended, meaning it’s difficult or impossible to go shopping, go out for 2 romantic meals or go anywhere without your dog. Other places are fine if your dog goes out without them and they are crate trained, but if they are not afraid of the crate! Some places that claim to be dog friendly only allow one dog, only allow small dogs, only allow certain breeds – yes, at some places I had to give my dog’s breed and weight when I requested a reservation. A jungle vacation is different You can go out without your dog, no dog needed! Race or weight doesn’t matter! The cabins are far enough away that a little barking is unlikely to disturb anyone They even allow 4 dogs for pets! They charge per dog per night, which I think is expensive, but not having to worry about all the dog Ts and Cs at other places makes it worth the extra money to me. Plus, they have dog-friendly activities, poop bins, and great hikes right next door and nearby, especially at the Sherwood location, but elsewhere. Dogs are also allowed in the shop/reception area on site! We have already booked our next trip to Forest Holidays for 2021 as their cabins are a social distancing holiday. I can’t wait to go back!
