We think the cottage is spacious and charming, with a mix of updates and original materials. Very cozy and welcoming. A few minutes walk down the hill and you are on the beach near the water. When the sun shines through the water and reflects off the coastal flora and rocks, it is magnificent. In this area we spent hours walking around Point Lobos. Wonderful! See the sheep and grounds of the Mission Inn. Aaaah! And so on… We will definitely be back! The owner was great! Thanks Karen!!

Beautiful views from the top of the hill. A country house is simple and easy. It would be nice to update the mattress and furniture, otherwise a good place to stay.
This was our second stay at the adobe house high above Carmel. Very different experience this time, no misty light shows…but we had a great view of Carmel. The house is beautifully equipped and Lou is very responsive to questions. We love the peace and quiet and spend our days at the beach, then enjoying the views, then enjoying great food in Carmel and Monterey. Always come back to the beautiful calm adobe. This is a special house. It’s all about the location: it’s set on a private road with spectacular views of the Carmel coastline. Transportation and silence. The house could use some TLC but we enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this home to any nature lover who wants to get off the beaten track but still be within driving distance of the city.

The exterior of this home isn’t so much a patio as it is a scenic ocean view. If it wasn’t private property, it’s easy to imagine that cars would be pulling over on the side of the road and people would be taking pictures.
Thanks to the huge windows on both sides, guests can enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains and the sea. Each of the three bedrooms has a king-size bed. In addition to the great views, this single story home is well located to enjoy Big Sur as it is on a main road near Carmel by the Sea and surrounding areas.
We loved the amazing views of the sea and the coast from this place. We were lucky enough to see shorebirds every day. We saw whales in the distance, dolphins and seals in the sea. We were also lucky enough to see condors almost every day. The decor and furnishings were comfortable and beautiful. The mattresses, bedding and towels were of high quality. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciate reliable Wi-Fi as cell service is limited. Vilia was an excellent host. Thank you.

This beachfront bungalow is a sweet and comfortable home ideally located for exploring and enjoying Big Sur. Seaside is a few miles northeast of Carmel, a small town on Monterey Bay that is generally considered the northern tip of Big Sur. There are more amenities (such as pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants) here than in any of the smaller communities further up the coast.
This house has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. This is an ideal place for a family, couple or small group of travelers. The fenced outdoor yard is a great place to relax.
