There is no public drinking water at this dog beach, so be sure to bring what you need; The park is closed from November to March. When you’re not at the park, take your dog for a walk around town with Cody to soak up the cowboy spirit. Many stores offer Western clothing and souvenirs with roadside stands that make shopping easy when Fido is by your side. In the evening, head to the Irma Inn for an outdoor reappraisal of frontier life, and be sure to take a quick trip to Old Trail Town for living history exhibits and a chance to see frontier cabins and covered wagons up close.

Jackson Hole is the most pet-friendly place in the Tetons; You can even bring your dog to the post office, where the attendant will give him a treat! Four-legged friends are welcome at a surprising number of motels and hotels, from budget motels downtown to the five-star Four Seasons Resort in Teton Village. There are also plenty of dog-friendly areas throughout the valley, and some restaurants even allow pets to hang out (discreetly) with you on their patios or terraces. Additionally, nearby national parks will also allow your pet to visit them with some restrictions.
Since Jackson Hole is a major tourist and ski destination, the hotel industry here wants to make it as easy as possible for visitors to bring their pets on vacation to this incredibly beautiful corner of Wyoming. The rule of thumb when it comes to traveling in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is that an animal can go anywhere a car can go (roads, campgrounds, recreation areas) as long as it’s under cover. Dogs are not allowed on any of the unpaved trails in any of the parks, limiting day trips and allowing visitors to wander the area while visiting.

Dogs are expected to be leashed on all trails and are not allowed in any city parks. However, there are dog-friendly areas in the Jackson Hole area.
